| BPS Specialist in Test Use (formerly Full Level B) |
|
Prior Training Required: Test User; Occupational, Personality (or equivalent e.g. Intermediate Level B)
Objectives
- To provide training and support for
delegates experienced in the use of personality assessment towards
the award of the highest practitioner certificate in this area
- To encourage best practice in test
selection and the implementation of psychological testing in
the workplace
Key Features
of the Course
We employ a 3 step approach to the Specialist in Test Use qualification
- Completion of assessment against
the BPS competences in a second personality instrument
(a second assessment at BPS Test User; Occupational, Personality level)
Delegates following this programme can take a conversion
course in a second measure to give them a second personality registration (or more) on the Register of Qualifications in Test Use.
The choice will depend partly upon the measure they have already qualified
in during their initial training, as the second (or subsequent) measure
must differ enough from the first to guarantee breadth.
- Coverage of BPS Specialist Test User competences.
This involves up to 3 training days which can be run as a block
or be split. This requirement may be reduced dependent on training
needs and experience. Delegates are provided with a Workbook which contains all the assessments required. The course is intended to include a dialogue in which the
agenda is determined by delegate requirements in reaching the
relevant competence levels, and the input is timed according
to need.
- Supervision and support to complete
the Diary Record and Project Report requirements.
